The Olean General Hospital Comprehensive Vascular Center team is led by Zahid Chohan, MD. Dr. Chohan brings his expertise and skill to the field of vascular surgery. His vast medical knowledge and caring manner put his patients at great ease. Dr. Chohan personalizes each treatment plan using the most state-of- the- art, advanced technologies. For over 30 years, he has served the Western New York and Northern Pennsylvania area providing the utmost in care to all his patients.
Dr. Chohan is a board certified general and vascular surgeon and a fellow of American College of Surgeons. He completed his surgical training at the prestigious University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey from 1976-1981. He started his private surgical practice in 1981.
Dr. Chohan is the director of Olean General Hospital Outpatient Surgery Center, president of the Cattaraugus County Medical Society, and clinical instructor in the Department of Surgery at The State University of New York at Buffalo. For several years throughout his career, Dr. Chohan has served as the chief of surgery at Olean General Hospital.
Dr. Chohan is well respected by his colleagues, patients, and staff and is a reputable surgeon in the greater Olean area.
